Al Banister is a lifelong native of the Greenville area, grew up in Piedmont and graduated from Woodmont High School. He attended Erskine College, received a B S Degree in Sociology and was awarded a golf scholarship and was Captain and Most Valuable Player his senior year. Al is a former sales representative for TPM where he worked for over 30 years. During his tenure at TPM he built lifelong relationships with clients in the Greenville / Spartanburg and Asheville areas. You may also recognize Al from the Upstate basketball arena as he just finished his 37th season as a high school basketball referee. In 2020 he was inducted into the South Carolina High School Basketball Hall of Fame. Very active in the community he is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church; has been a member at The Commerce Club for 33 years and serves on the Board of Governors and Executive Committee. He started his new company Unique Impressions in 2015 and offers large graphic printing for his clients in the Upstate anywhere from wall graphics to vehicle wraps and anything in between. Al’s Daddy instilled in him many values– Be nice and honest to people and at the end of the day you know you did the best job you could and treated your customer and friend with the upmost respect. Also during the business day you will always see AL wearing a tie. That’s his uniform as he tells people. Just like his Daddy did.
